PEP 25th Anniversary Gala Celebration

Programs for Exceptional People (PEP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Beaufort County. PEP's mission is to promote independence, social interaction, and employment opportunities for adults who live with intellectual disabilities. PEP is the only organization of its kind in the local region. Founded in 1995 by six families of adult children living with special needs, PEP now serves 66 clients.

Few post-high school options exist for adults who live with special needs. Our clients learn to prep food and cook, create and sell ceramic art pieces, use computers, and so much more. PEP offers vocational training so clients can have jobs in the community. PEP receives only about 50% of its operating budget from county, state, and federal sources. The balance is met through the generosity of the community through grants, donors, and fundraising events.

This year PEP will celebrate 25 years! Join us Saturday, October 30, 6 to 10:30pm at Sea Pines Country Club at our Gala featuring dancing, dinner, and both silent and live auctions. Sponsors and local businesses help make this a successful event through contributions to the auctions as well as their generous donations. Sponsors are recognized in promotional materials and receive complimentary tickets.
